Shipping & delivery
Services, destinations, timings and what you can send.
We deliver door-to-door to 209 countries and territories through a network of 1,115 offices. If you have a specific destination in mind, ask us and we'll confirm the best service and route.
It comes down to speed and budget. Choose Express for urgent, time-definite delivery; SkySaver Economy for cost-effective, less time-sensitive shipments; Same-Day & Time-Critical when every hour counts; and Road or Air & Sea Freight for larger or heavier loads. Not sure? Tell us what you're sending and we'll recommend the right option.
Transit times depend on the origin, destination and service you choose. Express is our fastest door-to-door option, while economy and freight take longer. Request a quote and we'll confirm the expected transit time for your route.
Online booking in the customer portal has fixed limits: 30 kg per parcel and 20 parcels per booking, regardless of service or destination. You are charged on the greater of actual and volumetric weight (length × width × height in cm ÷ 5,000). Heavier, bulky or out-of-gauge items, as well as pallets and freight, go through our freight and special services — send us the dimensions and weight and we'll confirm the best fit.
Prohibited and restricted items follow international carrier rules and the laws of the destination country — this typically covers things like cash, illegal goods and many dangerous goods unless properly declared and packed. Some goods (for example batteries, dry ice or other hazardous materials) can be shipped under special handling. If you're unsure whether something can be sent, check with us before booking.
Pricing is based on the greater of your shipment's actual weight and its volumetric (dimensional) weight, plus the service, destination and any customs charges or surcharges. Request a quote for an exact price on your shipment.
Worth separating two things: liability is not insurance. We provide our services under ADSp 2017, and Ziffer 23 caps our liability for loss or damage at 8.33 SDR per kilogram (§ 431 HGB), further limited to EUR 1.25 million per claim and EUR 2.5 million per damaging event. For multimodal carriage including a sea leg where the place of damage is unknown, the cap is 2 SDR per kilogram.
The key point: that liability is calculated by WEIGHT, not by what your goods are worth. For light but valuable consignments — electronics, samples, spare parts — the compensation can fall well short of the actual value.
So we offer optional cargo insurance through a dedicated transport insurer, covering the real value of the goods. Quote on request: tell us the value and the route and we will come back with a premium.
